About Oak Tree Recovery Homes

With the Blue Ridge Mountains providing a back drop, Oak Tree Recovery Homes for men provides five majestic sober living homes located in Asheville, North Carolina.   The houses are located within one half mile of each other, so the sober living community of 34 men remains close knit.  Initially, most guests attend an Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program at The Road Inc. (theroadasheville.com).  This is a brand new facility in Asheville and is designed to further clinically support men directly out of inpatient treatment.  As always we will continue to have daily morning meetings for senior residents. Guests are required to make at least five AA/NA meetings per week and get a sponsor.  The properties have strong recovery oriented full-time, live-in house managers.  There are also two in-house 12 step meetings.

The Oak Tree’s sober living homes are located in close proximity to major highways, employment opportunities, recovery rooms, recreation, and shopping centers, as well as being convenient to the Asheville Airport. The sober houses are comfortably furnished with TV’s in all bedrooms and living areas, appliances including washer and dryer. Services include digital cable, high speed internet, and unlimited long distance phone. One of our West Asheville homes is situated on 3 acres and boasts seven bedrooms, four bathrooms, two living rooms, two kitchens and a lounge/ping-pong 2 car garage area. The Buncombe County Sports Complex is located directly across the street. It offers multiple soccer, football, and baseball fields, disc golf course, walking trails, picnic areas (covered and uncovered), and playground. All Guests upon arrival are provided with a membership to the local fitness club which includes free weights, cardio, and sauna. We also plan on several group outings to include sporting events, hiking/camping and rafting trips.

Guests at Oak Tree Recovery Homes come from all over the country to get a fresh start in a safe atmosphere where they can grow along with others in their recovery. Oak Tree prefers applicants come directly from inpatient treatment centers. We also have individuals that transition from other halfway houses, as well as those who have been unsuccessful on their own and need the structure provided by Oak Tree Recovery Homes. We encourage guests at our sober living homes to work their chosen program of AA or NA consistently. Recovery is possible once you begin to follow suggestions and live by the principles of a 12-step program.

“When God wants to make a mushroom, He does it overnight. When He wants to make a giant Oak Tree, He takes a hundred years.”
